Public Transportation
Bus service is provided between the University at Rio and the city of Patras. Route 601, 604, 605 which leaves from the bus terminal that is located downtown (Ermou Street), runs every ten to fifteen minutes and connects the University with the city. Since some buses go directly to the town of Rion, by passing through the campus, it is advisable to ask before boarding if the specific bus goes to the Panepistimio (University). The Route 901 bus departs from Othonos Amalias and Karolou Avenue no 4.
The bus trip takes about 30 minutes. The ticket costs 1,50 (zone b). You can purchase bus tickets at King George Square ticket station and from kiosks. Tickets can be also purchased by the bus stop at the Rio Campus next to Building A (Pritaneia). For 2 euros you can buy a ticket from the driver, but you need to have the NFC activated.
Parking in Patras
In the city center of Patras there are two controlled parking zones. These two controlled parking zones require a parking ticket. Parking in Patras city center is metered from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on weekdays and from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.
